Mint - Doing the Jobs you Hate

We've all heard of the Rumba vacuum, that works automatically to vacuum your entire floor without you ever having to intervene. Well now it's time to meet Mint-it's hard floor cousin.

Mint is another robot cleaner, this time designed to clean in a way that Rumba cannot. The Mint robot cleaner is designed to work only on hard floors, and in fact won't function at all on carpets. It dusts and it mops, keeping your hard floors clean without the normal hassle that is involved.

There are two functions to Mint. First it can dry dust your floor, sweeping up all of the dust and debris with the micro fibre cloth that comes with it. The cloth can be used, washed and then reused, keeping costs down. Or else you can use a disposable cloth and just throw it away after use, bringing you the highest level of convenience possible.

As a duster it is perfect for use around pets. For every day use it is great for picking up animal hair, and yet it is very quiet in operation so is not likely to scare your pets. This means you can use it frequently, even when the pets are around.

Mint will also mop your hard floors, using wet clothes instead of dry. Again there are disposable cloths that are used once and thrown away, or else micro fibre cloths that are reused. The cloths for sweeping are different to those used for mopping. You simply wet your cloth, put it on the Mint cleaner, and place Mint on the floor-then let it go.

You don't have to worry about Mint falling down the stairs either, and smashing itself up. Sensors will tell it when to stop, and hence when it reaches the top of the stairs it will turn away and keep itself safe.

It also avoids rugs, and other steps up, such as those onto carpet. For obvious reasons these areas would prevent it from running, jamming it because the cloth underside will not sweet along on other areas of cloth like it does on a smooth, hard floor.

Mint is also intelligent in other ways. It records where it has been so that it doesn't do the same area twice, and more importantly so that it doesn't miss patches of your floor. It's slim size and small height allows it to fit under furniture, meaning that you can clean in harder to reach places without having to move heavy furniture. Its edge cleaning is unsurpassed, running right alone skirting boards and around the legs of your furniture.

Running it near a power supply is also not a problem. The cleaner has an internal, rechargeable battery that charges simply by plugging it in.

Technology has for years been making the work of household chores either. First there was the washing machine that replaced hand washing and the mangle, and along the way was the microwave. Now, thanks to the Rumba and Mint automatic cleaners, you won't even have to clean your floors yourself.
