As an alternative, the Philips SensoTouch RQ1280cc GyroFlex 3D Electric Shaver does look mightily impressive next to the Braun. With a much more modern look and an even sleeker shape and style, the Philips SensoTouch does appear to be a more advanced Electric shaver than the Braun 790.

The SensoTouch features the new GyroFlex technology that enables you to glide the shaver effortlessly across the face. Not only is it ultra-flexible but this shaver shaves in three dimensions which means, in comparison to the Braun, the Philips SensoTouch actually gives a more precise shave which is even closer, quicker and resolves any irritation problems.

Just like the Braun 790, the Philips SensoTouch also has a trimmer; however the trimmer technology on the SensoTouch is a patented tube trimmer which ensures an even more accurate personal grooming solution. Compared to the Braun 790 electric shaver, the Philips SensoTouch could be a much better option if you are looking for an exceptionally good, clean and very close shave. The Philips SensoTouch does come with a stand which could be much more convenient for you personally. Another observation to consider is noise. In comparison the Braun, this Philips shaver is much quieter and thus much less of an annoyance if you are shaving in the bathroom very early in the morning and don’t wish to wake the entire household.

In conclusion then, it seems like we have a clear winner. The Braun 790cc is certainly a great shaver, but SensoTouch 3D from Philips is a superior product. In all key areas, the Philips shaves more closely, is quicker, quieter, and easier to clean and maintain.
